The process of selling a domain
The process of selling a domain consists of these three steps (not necessarily in this order).
- Listing it somewhere for sale
- Get your money after an offer has been made
- Deliver the domain to the buyer
A number of sites offer assistance for this project but most of them are quite complicated and in many cases you have to pay money just to get the domains listed. In some cases you have to give up some percentage of the price to the site you used. We don't like that kind of commitment. And we don't expect any money from you :) We simply make it possible for you to list your domain for FREE and receive some offers without giving up your email address. For those still sceptical about our intensions we'd like to point out that you get the email address of the bidder and future communication between the two of you can be direct.
Even if we are not involved in the transaction itself we would like to give some instructions about the proper steps you should take to sell your domain.
Proper process of selling your domain
- List your domain to get offers
- Verify ownership by x or y
- Find your buyer (probably your highest bidder)
- Agree with your buyer to use Escrow.com to handle the transaction and get your money safely. You could even decide to have the buyer paying the fees.
- Live happily ever after.
